Evaluation
The evaluation process begins with the parent/caregiver completing an intake form that I will review prior to the evaluation. On the day of the evaluation, formal assessments as well as informal observations will be used to provide a thorough evaluation of your child's oral motor skills, their speech sound development as well as their language and literacy skills should those also be an are of concern. Evaluations may take between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on individual needs.
Speech Therapy
Following an evaluation, speech therapy can begin and will follow a treatment plan tailored to your child's specifics needs. Sessions last 30-40 minutes, with an additional 5-10 minutes of wrap up with parent/caregiver.
I will also send home simple, supportive practice activities to help your child keep learning and growing between sessions.
Lindamood LiPS
Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program develops phonemic awareness, reading, spelling, and speech. Clients discover the physical characteristics of each phoneme and use this kinesthetic feedback to verify sounds within words.
SPELL-Links
SPELL-Links® is an evidence-based, speech-to-print literacy intervention program that integrates phonology, orthography, and morphology to strengthen reading and spelling skills. Unlike traditional phonics approaches, SPELL-Links® emphasizes how sounds, letters, and word parts work together in real words, supporting efficient word learning and long-term literacy development. Through explicit instruction, guided practice, and functional application, SPELL-Links® helps learners build robust decoding, encoding, and vocabulary skills. This approach is well-suited for children with dyslexia, speech sound disorders, language delays, and other literacy challenges, and aligns with current research on structured literacy and oral–written language connections.
